Casa Dulce is an open-air rustic wooden home situated on a manicured garden overlooking Pan Dulce Beach in marvelous Matapalo. The home features a downstairs bedroom and extra single and an upstairs loft that has two double beds, sleeping a total of six reasonably, seven in a pinch. With a full kitchen replete with kitchenware and amenities, the home boasts full solar power supply with 110V for charging batteries and other duties, but we ask our guests to leave their blow dryers at home. The sprawling landscaped gardens are extensive, private, and immaculately groomed and boast a profusion of tropical fruits and ornamentals and a lush clipped lawn. A feng shui rock path leads from the home under the shading canopy to overlook Pan Dulce, the first and gentlest of Cape Matapalo's three world-famous surf breaks. Pan Dulce has an inner and outer break, making it the ideal point for surfing lessons and sunbathing and swimiming. The Matapalo regions boasts a wide variety of activities, including extreme sports waterfall rappelling and tree climbing, as well as surf lessons, bird watching, wildlife hikes, sport fishing, and a variety of other options nearby. A rental car helps to make the most out of Casa Dulce, though public transportation is located a quarter mile away with twice daily service to and from Puerto Jimenez. Casa Dulce is one of the few Matapalo destinations to have a dipping pool. It is secure, private, and offers additional services, including meals catering, housekeeping, and of course guidance on activities.
